Bling to Your Ears: DEOS Diamond Headset Covers Selling for $10K
By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, no matter what form they come in – an engagement ring from your beau, a blinging necklace, a pair of studded earrings -- and the list goes on. So, time to add this one to your long list of bejeweled accessories – a pair of white or black diamond encrusted headset covers by high-end earphone accessories company DEOS.
They can’t be found in a display counter at Tiffany’s, but these sparkly babies are currently for sale at the OC Concept Store on Madison Avenue in New York City. Their price tag is sure to take a chunk of change out of your pockets, and way more than any iPhone (News - Alert) or iPod would cost. At $10,000, these earbud covers will probably require you to save for a pretty long time, or take out a loan.
A perfect headsets accessory for “the girl or guy that has everything and clearly loves music,” according to Ashley Orfus, the marketing coordinator for OC Concept Store, the DEOS ear covers are the latest addition to the store, which sells other outrageous (and very expensive) tech accessories. Perhaps you’re looking for a buffalo or snakeskin cover for your iPhone cover collection ($150), or an iPad cover made of ostrich ($1,500). If so, OC Concept Store has got you covered.
However, if you’re not feeling so daring, or financially lucky, you can opt for more affordable earbuds made of colorful crystals, which will cost you between $98 and $150. DEOS even features a pair of green, very sparkly Emerald crystal earphone covers to promote energy conservation.
DEOS’ fashionable earbud covers are a favorite among many New York City fashionistas and celebrities. Among those have been the Real Housewives of New York City’s Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon, Twilight co-stars Rachelle Lefevre and hunky Taylor Lautner, and singer/actress Mya.
If you can’t make it down to the New York City store, DEOS accessories can also be purchased at Henri Bendels, nationwide Target (News - Alert) stores, Target.com, and other retailers.
