By Raju Shanbhag TMCnet Contributing Editor
With a goal of growing its channel program to more than 260 partners, Digium has completed integration of its Digium Authorized Reseller program with that of Switchvox (News - Alert). The same array of services and benefits provided to long-time Digium partners, including sales, technical and marketing support are now available to Switchvox resellers.
The Switchvox solution is being adapted by many companies all over U.S. Arreva Communications of Orange County, California, for example, decided that open source-based telephony systems were about to disrupt the market and chose to standardize on Switchvox after evaluating several vendors.
Arreva felt that Switchvox offered the best open source-based telephony solution and that the company's culture and ability to adapt were just what the company was looking for. Now, the company gets the best of both worlds as it the benefits of working with Switchvox as well as the resources of Digium (News - Alert). The company is very pleased with the services it is getting from Digium and Switchvox.
Shelton | Johns, a Digium Premier Solution Partner based near Atlanta, uses Asterisk (News - Alert) to design and build highly customized telephony platforms that allow voice to be integrated into customers' networks. The company uses Asterisk as it provides them the ability to offer VoIP
solutions that are vendor neutral as the Asterisk is 100 percent standards-based.
As Shelton | Johns gets access to source code, it also gains the freedom to build VoIP platforms that are unique to each customer and that tightly integrate voice with each customer's business workflow and existing applications. The company can get access and support it needs and is able to contribute to the growth of the Asterisk project that means a lot to its business.
“Since launching the enhanced Digium Authorized Reseller program last August, we've opened our doors to more than 260 valued partners,” said Danny Windham, chief executive officer of Digium. “Customers who select Digium Authorized Resellers not only receive the highest quality Asterisk-based products in the industry, a money-back guarantee on Digium's products and assurance of no vendor lock-in because Digium products are entirely standards-based, they benefit from working with the most carefully vetted resellers in the industry.”
Windham added: “We're proud to include Switchvox partners in the program that we believe is the most channel-friendly in all of open source telephony.”
