Interop (News - Alert) Technologies, a provider of core wireless solutions for messaging, device management, and connectivity gateways, is going to offer its wireless technology solutions to Element Mobile for building a new network.

The solutions include: SMS Center, MMS Center, CDMA Over-the-Air, or "OTA," Provisioning, SCOPE Device Management with a "one-click fix," and Common Short Code, or "CSC," Gateway.

Element Mobile, the business entity of Wisconsin RSA (News - Alert) #7 Limited Partnership, is building a new network that will serve wireless customers in central Wisconsin. Interop Technologies will work with Element Mobile to deploy its solutions on site at Element Mobile's headquarters, but Interop Technologies will operate and manage the solutions.

Interop has stated that they offer the Short Message Service Center, or "SMSC," 4 Series, which sets a new global speed record for SMSCs. The SMSC 4 Series exceeds the Message Delivery Attempts, or "MDAs," rate for all known competitors. Built with modular, distributed architecture, this extremely robust messaging solution delivers massive scalability for today's high volume and availability requirements, yet fits within a very small, energy efficient footprint. The highly reliable SMSC 4 Series is available in hosted, modified hosted, turnkey, and with managed services deployments.

Interop's MMSC is claimed by the company to be the world's most scalable solution. It is 3GPP/3GPP2 compliant and supports MMS-capable handsets and provides all the capacity needed to expand MMS offerings now and in the future, plus "five-nines" reliability.

The CDMA Over-the-Air Provisioning solution provisions NAMS and PRLs and gets them right the first time. The IS-683 compliant, SS7-based technology solution helps manage update expenses across the customer base and lock in lower costs when roaming relationships change.

Interop helps operators dramatically improve first-call resolution statistics and reduce operating costs with Subscriber Capability Originated Provisioning Environment, or "SCOPE." SCOPE simplifies wireless device management, or "DM," to an unprecedented degree, improving customer satisfaction and reducing likelihood of churn. SCOPE is claimed to be the only available solution enabling front-line customer service representatives or customers using an optional self-care portal to resolve handset management issues with a One-Click Fix.

The Common Short Code, or "CSC (News - Alert)," Gateway provides competitive advantage by enabling operators to launch short code campaigns immediately. The CSC Gateway supports national and local short-code routing so subscribers can respond to promotions and contests with an abbreviated - 4 to 6 digit - SMS address.

Officials with Interop have stated that Element Mobile has a very forward-thinking deployment strategy. When Element Mobile is ready to assume day-to-day responsibility for operation of the solutions, all related hardware and software already will be on site, enabling a smooth implementation.
