Cascadia Launches of New Social Media Site on Mobile Phone Browsers
By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor
Cascadia Investment, a publicly traded, Internet and real estate development company operating in the Pacific Northwest, has announced that its safe instant messaging client for “tweens,” TinyTwirp.com, is now accessible from mobile phone browsers making it available to those on the go.
According to Cascadia officials, TinyTwirp.com is also launching enhanced social networking features and profiles including profile picture uploads, comments, and friends, plus a points arcade where users can redeem points for real world prizes.
TinyTwirp.com's previously announced API will soon be out of beta and available to outside developers. The company's principal objective is to create equity and long-term earnings growth through the acquisition and development of undervalued real estate and cutting edge Internet properties.
In August, Cascadia Investments had announced the completion of another Twitter-based application, Horotweet.com, which provides Twitter users with a free daily horoscope posted directly to their Twitter stream.
Horotweet is Cascadia's second Twitter application and part of its Internet Division's 2009 greater social media initiative.
In July, Cascadia Investments had announced that the company will launch twelve properties over the next six-to-12 months. And, to keep investors abreast of all these latest developments, the company has set up an interactive home page for all of its current and future Internet properties.
Cascadia's newest product is phace.mobi, a mobile social networking site that allows people to set up online profiles, add pictures, links and music, and share common interests.
Social mobile networking sites are gaining popularity with people all over the world as they allow large groups of people to stay connected while on the go.
While Cascadia's first two websites, ticktweet.com and tinytwirp.com, were purchased as acquisitions, phace.mobi was built entirely in-house.
