Pocket Launches Affordable Smart Phone Lineup

Pocket Communications, a flat-rate wireless communications company, has launched its smartphone system, which provides individuals Internet, camera, music, texting and email, for an affordable price.

Jim McDonald, Pocket’s CEO, said that the company tried to raise the bar on pre-paid wireless offerings by making a multi-function smartphone that starts at just $99.00.

“Pocket is taking the lead not only in affordable wireless service offerings, but becoming a leader in delivering innovative, smart phones that consumers want - and at a price they can afford," McDonald said.

The product offers an impressing lineup.

Equipped with Smart TXT, Motorola (News - Alert) Hint, Motorola Q and the Freeform from Samsung, Pocket’s new smartphones and its accompanying network allows customers, families and small businesses to have the same abilities as large corporations when it comes to phone plans.

SMBs and even individuals using the Pocket product for personal use can communicate and create content their way and take part in posting to blogs and participating in social networks while on-the-go.

With the first month of service as a free, no contract trial, Pocket allows its customers to get a feel for the product before securing themselves into a long term contract.

Earlier this year, the company expanded its wireless coverage into the Corpus Christi metro region by opening 11 company stores, as well as new products for the area, new family plans and various smartphones.

According to company officials, since the launch in Corpus Christi, thousands of Cricket customers have made Pocket their new wireless provider of choice.

In many geographical areas such as Corpus Christi and parts of the Rio Grande Valley, the company’s service actually works in locations where other providers can’t provide good wireless coverage.

And, when compared to AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile (News - Alert), Pocket company officials said that the company has the largest retail footprint in San Antonio and South Texas.
