Optichron and Brilliant Technologies Company Forge Distribution Agreement for Japan

Optichron, a U.S.-based digital non-linear signal processing company, has announced the appointment of Brilliant (News - Alert) Technologies as the authorized Optichron distributor for Japan.

As per the distribution agreement, Brilliant Technologies, a division company of Macnica of Japan, will serve as a stocking distributor for the country.

The companies have created a team of sales, marketing, and applications engineering resources in Japan to provide customer support in the region.

Moreover, the companies have equipped Brilliant Technologies with an engineering lab and tools that enable customers to develop infrastructure products containing Optichron’s (News - Alert) DPD and CFR solutions.

Brilliant Technologies Company will also have direct access to Optichron's sales, marketing and technical resources in the U.S. and will offer Optichron products such as high-performance digital pre-distortion (DPD) linearization and crest factor reduction (CFR) solutions.

These offerings are ideal for makers of wireless infrastructure equipment that need to shorten time to market and reduce the cost and operating expense of equipment for all major wireless protocols including 3G, WCDMA, Super 3G, LTE (News - Alert), WiMAX and PHS.

“Brilliant Technologies Company's strong relationships with a broad range of customers, and the added value of their highly-trained sales and field applications engineers and sophisticated lab facilities, combine to give Optichron a strong presence for success in Japan,” said Perry Constantine, CEO at Optichron.

Optichron’s proprietary signal processing technology eliminates non-linear distortion, the main cause of costly transmission inefficiencies in base stations.
