TMCNet: New family of Live Video Streaming solutions unveiled by Velocix

New family of Live Video Streaming solutions unveiled by Velocix

Velocix (formally know as CacheLogic), a provider Digital Asset
Delivery Network, announced on Wednesday (26 March) the addition of a
complete family of Live Video Streaming solutions to its current
product portfolio.

According to the company, the Velocix Live Streaming product family
includes Velocix Live Video Streaming for Adobe Flash & Microsoft
Windows Media, together with Velocix Live Audio Streaming.

The new product line reportedly includes several delivery options,
including hybrid-P2P, which combines delivery of live streams from the
Velocix Network caches with sharing bandwidth with 'peers'. Each
participant is at the same time watching or listening to the live
broadcast and relaying the signal to the other audience members. This
community distribution process is managed in real-time by control and
routing algorithms hosted on the Velocix Network, ensuring required
service levels for the audience.

No financial details were disclosed.
